Just a 30-minute ferry ride from the hustle and bustle of downtown Seattle is a magical island escape. This hamlet, Bainbridge Island, is the kind of place where people come for a day and stay for a lifetime, drawn in by the relaxing commute across the Sound, the charming small-town feel of the island, and the thriving arts community that gives the area its unique flavor.

According to Founding Director/Managing Broker Dennis Paige, “The popularity of Bainbridge Island is reflected in the strength of the local housing market. With so few homes on the market, well-priced ones have seen multiple offers within a week of listing.”

So does living on an island mean compromises? “Not at all,” says Paige. In fact, the City of Bainbridge Island is recognized for having one of the best school systems in America and supports a fine dining scene that would make a city 10 times its size envious.
